About Brad Scott

Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT

Brad Scott is the founder and CEO of One Gift Group and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who offers therapy and coaching to support clients’ journeys toward healing and realizing their dreams.

Brad shares his gifts for listening and compassion, to hold up a mirror for people to see their own brilliance, find clarity in how they define success for themselves, and equip them with the tools they need to follow a path that aligns with their values. As Brad supports others to follow their dreams, he models this way of life. He understands how social structures try to place limits on Black, Indigenous and People of Color, and is intentionally creating worlds outside these systems.

Brad’s past professional experience also prepares him for this work. He worked with ChildNet, where he addressed systems of inequity through challenging school systems to implement policies that promote health and well-being for children of color, children on the spectrum, children who are economically disadvantaged, and children limited by low expectations due to gender labels. He also worked with Alexandria House, with survivors of domesLc violence and human trafficking. Brad was a part of running counter narratives that blame victims and silence women’s voices. He also worked for Volunteers of America, with veterans experiencing homelessness, by coaching them to bravely walk into a new life, and connecting them with resources they need and deserve.

Brad’s passion for creative and community-based entrepreneurship began as a child. Growing up in Long Beach, California, he started a small business selling avocados to his neighbors. From there he attended Lakewood High School, Long Beach City College, and the University of California, Irvine while working in printing and a restaurant business. At UC Irvine, he was also on the Men’s Rowing Team. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Literary Journalism and then his Masters’ Degree from Pacific Oak’s College in Marriage and Family Therapy.

His value for justice, his entrepreneurial spirit, and the relationships he builds along the way, continue to open new pathways for him to share his gifts through business and community projects.

In the future, Brad plans to create pipelines for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in collegiate rowing, host a television show, and stay ready to embark on continually opening pathways that align with his values and his own definition of success.
